Last week I finally got the chance to explore the less popular parts of Bugis, away from the popular and immensely crowded shopping destinations Bugis Junction and Bugis Street. We did a fair bit of walking, for how else is one to truly explore a place? To be honest, there wasn't much, with just some rad graffiti and restaurants, but I enjoyed it all the same. It was a mindless activity, good for taking my mind off all the school projects and tests weighing down on me. Oh! We spotted a tiny French crêpe shop which I made a mental note to visit in future, since it's so near Saturday school.
Recently I was shared a favourite quote by one of my acquaintances - there are no shortcuts to any place worth going. It struck a chord in how apt the quotation was and I think it'll be one that I'll try to live by. Also, I've recently started participating in the #100happydays initiative because I felt that it was such a brilliant idea, and even though I'm not the happiest girl around everyday, I try to capture quotidian joyful moments. Here's to better days, X
