Les bois urbains

I don't know if I'm alone on this - all my friends said they prefer the converse - but old buildings charm my socks off. It's often the reason why I feel smothered in my metropolis motherland. As it turns out, every cloud has a silver lining. While driving around in the North, more specifically in the area of Woodlands, we came across this deserted yet beautiful car park. On arrival, it felt as though we've genuinely stepped into a woodland; one of urban beauty. It was only natural that we started dancing in this temporary wonderland, but we soon got back in reality when someone at the opposite block rather anti-climatically threw a roll of toilet paper down from the roof, like a flag flying in the breeze.

Popcorn

I don't know if it has to do with an acquired taste or not, but I'm turning into a huge monochrome lover. When I was young and wild and free I loved colours; in different phases of my life did I love shades of pink, a very specific blue (Pantone 292!) and at what I'd call the oddest phase: lime green and orange. I had a Creative MP3 player (popular back then) in orange which I matched with green earphones... A highly questionable choice, I know. Thankfully, though, I never had that combination of colours as a fashion choice.

En passant, German is such a tough language. The grammar rules are completely impeccable and I may want to cry about my upcoming oral test on Tuesday, so... auf Wiedersehen for now!

Hey

Hey. I'm still alive! Clearly the choice to take extra credits this semester is starting to show; I'm really lagging behind all things social. That said, I've been taking a couple of weekends off to just head out and enjoy some me time, but I just skipped all overly brain-stimulatory activity... including blogging. I even gave up on dressing up for school and I've turned to denims as my daily slacks. In essence, besides academic related work, I've let my brains go on holiday. Well we don't just (try to) earn our stripes by overworking the little guy, you know.
